We are Beau and Bethany, a husband and wife team and we love to capture photography and video for destination weddings!! We were honored to be a part of Megan and Trevor’s destination wedding in Dominican Republic! This beautiful couple enjoyed a week at the fabulous Barcelo Bavaro Resort in Punta Cana Dominican Republic for their destination wedding, they had many friends and family with them for this wonderful vacation. It was so fun to be on the same Delta flight with Megan and Trevor, they were in First Class!! We love that Delta has a direct flight from Minneapolis to Punta Cana. Then the resort was a short bus ride from the airport. Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana is so beautiful with bright turquoise ocean and white sand and tall palms dotting the coast. The Barcelo Bavaro was a fun resort to spend time with these friends.

Trevor played a round of Golf with his guys the morning of the wedding. Megan was getting ready in her suite with her bridesmaids, her room was ocean front, the view was so stunning. She shared a first moment with her mom and dad… then she had her first look with her groom to be.  Beau and I captured the couple around the resort along with a few group photos before the ceremony.

The ceremony was on the beach… it was a perfect setting for their ceremony. After they said “I Do”, Beau photographed the entire group on the beach after the ceremony.... and this was a large group of friends and family... It is always special to get a full group shot of all of the guests that travel for the wedding. We headed to the lobby bar for a few drinks before the reception.

The reception was in the beachfront thatched roof gazebo. After the grand march, the Bride and Groom and their guests enjoyed a beachfront wedding reception. We were served drinks and a delicious dinner… there was a big wedding cake and a DJ for the dance too! This group loved to dance!! It was such a fun reception. Destination weddings are such a fabulous way to celebrate a marriage!! We are so thankful that Megan and Trevor asked us to come along with them to capture it. We decided to make a weeklong family vacation out of the trip and it was wonderful to be at the Barcelo Bavaro for the week.
