Spring in Hayward Wisconsin

Our good old friends from Florida came up north and stayed with us this past week. It was so much fun to visit Hayward with them. We love Hayward! On the way up, we stopped at Louie’s Meats in Cumberland to stock up on amazing blue cheese brats! Then we stopped by our buddies dairy farm in Barronette to show the Floridians the cows that Wisconsin is famous for. It was a beautiful night to enjoy a bon fire and a New Glarus Spotted Cow… then the barrel sauna. The next morning was fresh and beautiful after a Spring rain. I enjoyed a nice run up and down Hunter Hills Road. Then we went shopping on Main-street and I found some nice gifts at the Old Library Store, Truly Wisconsin, the Pavilion and at the Irish Store too! The owner of the Irish Store played his flute for us while the girls danced. We had to buy candy and Fudge at Tremblay’s Candy Store, it’s tradition. After eating lunch at the Angry Minnow, we went out for ice cream at West’s Dairy. I enjoyed a coconut Latte at the Backroads Coffee House the last morning and I bought a French Press for Beau since he’s always wanted one. There are so many little things about Hayward that we love and there is so much more to discover! ~Bethany

Spring Playtime Photos

Bella is two years old! Her mama wanted some Springtime photos of here two year old daughter. We have enjoyed capturing Bella as she grows. Kids change so fast! It is so important to capture them through imagery as much as possible. We would love to photograph your family too! E-mail me to set up a photo session with Beau Petersen. My e-mail is bp@ownyoursmile.com and I would be happy to set it up! Spring is a beautiful time to photograph families for sure. There are few dates left so drop me a e-mail today. What a perfect gift for mom! ~Bethany

Spring Time in New Richmond

Last fall we started this little project of photographing each season in New Richmond, the fall was beautiful but this winter or lack of winter we had made it so we could not get any pictures of the snow. Now this spring was early and beautiful and I was able to get out a couple of times to capture these images. Enjoy ~Beau

Princess Party

Our daughter Bijou is a total princess! She is 100% girly-girl! We had a Princess Party for her on Sunday. She had 13 princesses pals over for an afternoon of pure craziness! It is awesome that Bijou has met so many wonderful girls and she will have fond memories as she grows up with all these great friends. Of course there are many more gal-pals that were not at the party and we hope to have them over soon!!! It was a exhausting for us as parents, but totally fun! We had games like pin the crown on Rapunzel, princess races, hop scotch and princess scavenger hunt. The girls were so excited when they won a prize! Bijou wanted chocolate princess cupcakes for her friends. We decorated crowns together. I had to make a ton of crowns out of construction paper, it took forever! Bijou and I had a fun time planning and decorating for the party. Bijou had a blast but she was very overwhelmed by the end of the party. She says, “Mom, can we just have a party for our own family next time?” …I am cool with that. It is a lot of work to do this but the memories will last forever. ~Bethany
