As a fun family experience... Photographer Beau Petersen photographs the American Birkebeiner 2013 in Hayward WI!  It was our first time at the Birkie in Hayward.  We had fun ringing our bells for the racers.  It was awesome people watching... all the scandinavian athletic people.  We had a few friends who participated... I even found my new friend Larry who we met at a Milwaukee wedding last October.  I was thrilled to find Larry among the thousands there!  Beau and I hope to train and participate in the Birkebeiner someday!  ~Bethany
