Did you know that Beau Petersen will photograph Destination Weddings with NO TRAVEL FEES!? Many people ask us if we charge a travel fee on top of our rates for Destination Weddings and our answer is no. We charge our regular rates for destination weddings. If you are planning a destination wedding January-April there is no travel fee. The reason we do not offer destination weddings in the Summer and Fall is because that is our wedding season, and all weekends book up with local Wisconsin and Minnesota weddings in the Summer and Fall. We would also advise not planning a destination wedding August-November because that can be Hurricane season. We have had many friends who have been stuck in hurricanes that time of year.
Beau has photographed many destination weddings in Mexico because of its close proximity to the USA and he has enjoyed photographing weddings in the Caribbean too! Please contact us if you are planning a destination wedding in Mexico or the Caribbean or Hawaii. We have been to Hawaii for vacation but we have always wanted to photograph a wedding in Hawaii too!
All Inclusive Resorts are a great way to plan a destination wedding. You can save thousands if you are planning a destination wedding compared to a local wedding. Plus you have your honeymoon tied into the price. All inclusive resorts are worry-free and easy for wedding plans! All your guests will also enjoy the all inclusive vacation and wedding celebration. We have found that it is super fun to travel for a destination wedding… wether your guests stay a week or just a couple days, either way, it is a blast! We have enjoyed all inclusive resorts for 4 day trips and up to 8 day trips… either way it is wonderful!
I have posted three of my favorite and most recent destination weddings below to get you inspired!!
The first wedding was at the Barcelo Riviera Maya… Jill and Nick had the largest guest attendance at their wedding there in Mexico… I believe it was about 150 guests! That is a lot of people to travel for a destination wedding in Mexico!! Beau and I still think Barcelo is the best All inclusive wedding venue! It is a good value for the price and the beaches and pools are spectacular. The food was amazing and the suites were well appointed with plenty of room. The ceremony location was right on the white sand beach. The resort set up a private beachfront cocktail hour party with delicious Mexican hour d’roves. They opted to have their large group dine in the main dining room. Then we went to the piano bar lounge to keep the celebration going… and the evening went on at the Jaguar nightclub for a super fun dance party!! The Barcelo Maya is definitely our #1 recommended all inclusive resort for destination weddings!!
The second wedding was at the Now Jade Riviera Cancun… Nicole and Jason had an elegant wedding at the Now Jade. We love this resort for the ocean view suites!! It is always better to have an ocean view room and this resort offers many ocean view rooms! We also loved the dining options at this modern all inclusive resort. This resort offered a beautiful private ceremony location overlooking the beach. They also provided a reception location on the grassy lawn among the tall palm trees where they set up dining tables and a illuminated dance floor. This dance was super fun under the moonlight!
The third wedding was at the Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Nicole and Mitch picked a fabulous location for their destination wedding. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic had gorgeous white sand beaches with tall palm trees and warm caribbean blue water, perfect for swimming. The Suites at the Majestic Elegance were amazing because they had swim-up rooms! We loved having the swim-up room because we could open our patio door and jump right into the pool and swim to the swim-up bar! The ceremony location was at a pavilion on the white sand beach. Beau photographed a group photo on the beach of all of the guests as he always does after the ceremony. The all inclusive dining at the Majestic Elegance was very good. We love that the resort prepared a private room for the wedding with open air ocean breezes to enjoy throughout dinner. The resort provided a fabulous beach themed wedding cake as well. Punta Cana is very easy to reach by nonstop flights from Minneapolis, and with a huge variety of all inclusive resorts, Punta Cana is sure to be the next big destination wedding location!
