In October 2007 we traveled to France.  Our daughter Bijou was 9 months old and her first flight was from Minneapolis to Amsterdam, then to Nice, France.  She was a perfect travel mate.  I am so glad we took this opportunity to travel with her.  Bijou means Jewel in French so the Frenchies loved that.  We received awesome perks for traveling with a baby named Bijou in France. We stayed at the sweet La Jabotte Hotel in Antibes, France. The tiny rooms were adorable and the breakfast included was the perfect start to our first morning n France. We walk down to the sea side to find older gentlemen playing Pétanque while the ladies sit on  park benches and gossip to each other. We explored the old town of Antibes and some other towns in the French Riviera. One evening we had a tavern all to ourselves due to jet-lag and we tried limoncello for the first time, so delicious. Our sweet baby girl was so good. She just loved being outside and walking with mommy and daddy or riding in our baby bjorn.  We carried her everywhere and I loved taking in all the sites with my daughter and husband. We rented a car to be free to roam where we wanted and all though it was more expensive than the states, we loved that freedom. Every little village was unique and breathtaking.
