Julie and Joe had a whirlwind engagement session with Beau Petersen! As Beau was driving on this winter day to meet this lovely couple for their engagement session, he was on a mission. There was fabulous Hoar Frost in Lake Elmo Minnesota, where they started the session. Julie and Joe didn't believe it was called "hoar" frost But it is and it was beautiful! The Frost blowing off the trees looked like snow falling from the bluest sky. Julie's make-up was done by Jennifer Elliott with Picture Perfect Make-up. Jen really makes these sessions (and weddings) so special. From the fields with hoar frost they went to Minneapolis, to the Guthrie Theater. I noted that Julie is wearing a fabulous dress from my new favorite online shop ModCloth. I actually just received that same dress in the mail. We obviously both have great taste. As they were leaving Minneapolis, Beau suggested stopping in St Paul. It's funny how things work out with Beau. They park on a quiet city street. It is so crazy how quiet a city is on a Saturday. The streets were dead... except for three clowns! There were three clowns walking the streets of St Paul. They were a little scary at first but Julie and Joe warmed up to them and they were on the way to the Torch Light Parade. Between the buildings the sunset broke through to reveal an awesome light! It was a serendipitous moment. The last town they went to was Hudson Wisconsin. Julie and Joe walked out on the ice of the Saint Croix River to catch the last of the sunset, even the moon. Beau took them out for a Boot of Beer at our favorite German restaurant The Winzer Stube in Hudson. Beau taught them the rules of the boot and they had a blast in the German ambiance. We love this session!
