The moment Beau and I arrived at Katy and Steve's wedding, we knew this was going to be the PERFECT country wedding.
The sun was shining radiantly the morning of Katy and Steve's wedding, making the slick, multi-colored antique cars parked on the driveway glimmer and sparkle in the light. The ambiance was perfect, the long-horned cows, ruddy red barn, and crisp white tent setting off the perfect balance needed for a country wedding. We walked across the crisp, newly green grass to go meet our bride for the first time on her special day.
Nestled in a secret room in her parent's farmhouse, Katy was getting ready for the special first moment to meet her groom, Steve. Surrounded by her mom, and girlfriends she slipped into her beautiful, lace dress, but not before she showed us the secret heart, her "something blue" that she'd sewn to the inside of her dress. We left this beautiful bride standing on the wrap-around porch, awaiting the arrival of her groom! The look on Steve's face when he first saw Katy was absolutely precious, with just that look we were completely convinced of their love for each other. They hugged, so happy that this day was here, and that they'd found that someone to spend forever with. The wedding was in a Catholic church set in the beautiful little town of Taylors Falls in Minnesota. As the bride walked down the aisle, her cathedral veil spread elegantly behind her, we once again saw her and Steve share that look. They exchanged rings, and kissed to seal the deal!
Taylors Falls is the perfect town, everything is in walking distance! We walked down the street, capturing awesome shots of the bridal party on the way down to Romaynes, a great bar in the downtown area! Beau took this chance to take the couple out for some private shots before we headed to the fun reception back on the farmstead! Katy and Steve arrived at the farm, and were immediately greeted with a downpour of mini marshmallows! No one held back, and it resembled a colorful explosion as they tried to make their way to the tent unscathed, which was completely impossible! I'm sure their still finding marshmallows! Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner of prime rib, and then headed to the dance floor! The barn had been transformed, every beam was draped in string lights that lit up like millions of stars as Katy and Steve shared their dance. As we exited for the night, the party was still roaring, as it should be! Katy and Steve, this was an amazing day, and we know your going to have an wonderful marriage! ~Natalee
