Sunday was a fabulous day... not as hot as the weather man said it would be but it was a beautiful day. We had a group of friends over from Chanhassen. These are good friends that we rarely get to spend time with... but we have made a tradition of hanging on the lake at least one day per summer together. Chanhassen is a long haul from Amery but once they arrived we were chilling out. The ladies took a pontoon cruise while the guys stayed at the cabin to cook and watch the kids. Later, the guys took a fishing cruise while the ladies stayed at the cabin. The kids also took a trip to Mort's for candy! Marty & Shirley prepped a ton of ribs and brought them over to cook on our Big Iron Grill... This grill has been the hi-light of our summer! Everyone contributed, so the meal was fabulous. We ended the night with S'mores by the fire.. then a sleepover with Bijou's gal pal. Monday was a laid back day also, we cleaned house and worked a bit. My dad has been visiting this past week from Boston, so he came over with his parents. We sat out on the deck and relaxed and ate leftovers from the night before. I took a paddleboat ride with the kids to the park on this glorious day! This evening ended with a double rainbow over the lake... what a gift! We are so thankful everyday for this beautiful life. When tough times come, we will reflect on these great memories. ~Bethany
