Elise and Matt were married on January 24th 2019 in Mexico!! They enjoyed a fabulous winter getaway to Cancun Mexico with their friends and family at the Moon Palace all inclusive resort. It was perfect weather for the trip, everyday had sunshine and it was so nice and warm. The resort was wonderful, the food was delicious and the rooms were beautiful. We are so happy for Elise and Matt and we are so glad that they selected us as their photography and videography team!! We love destination weddings!! This location in Mexico was very easy for travel from Minneapolis to Cancun and the ground transfer was only fifteen minutes to the Moon Palace. We are travel agents and this is one of the easiest places to travel for a destination wedding. The all inclusive resort is a great way for guests to relax and enjoy a beach vacation. Beau enjoyed photographing the groomsmen on the pre-wedding day at the golf course, and the bridesmaids by the pool too. Then the wedding day started with a beautiful sunrise over the ocean. We met up with the group at their suites and photographed the getting-ready photos. The bride shared a sweet moment with her father after getting ready in her wedding dress. Then we set up a beautiful first look with Elise and Matt and then we went of on the golf cart to photograph around the resort. We met up with the bridal party at the swing bar at the pool for a drink and it was fun for the bride and groom to have a little time with their best friends. As the clouds started rolling in the beach ceremony was being set up and it looked so beautiful. We tried to wait out the rain but the weather did not cooperate with the plans… so we had to move the ceremony into the gazebo. There are many stories to be told about the rain and trouble it caused but I will leave those stories up to them!! We just loved the great attitude of all the guests and especially the Bride, she had the biggest smile on her face as her dad walked her down the pathway under an umbrella. The guests belted out the tune of “Here Comes the Bride” as a substitute to the ceremony music. Elise walked barefoot on the wet gazebo floor to her groom waiting at the other end. Matt’s best man filled in as the officiant for the ceremony and he did a great job for the last minute task. After their sweet ceremony they were off to the beach where it was only lightly sprinkling and the group had a fun group photo with the bride and groom before heading to the main lobby bar. The staff at the Moon Palace worked very hard to move the party to a beautiful covered balcony overlooking the evening pool all lit up under the moon. It turned out to be a beautiful reception! The guests enjoyed a private party with drinks and dinner. There was a cake-cutting, great speeches and the bride and groom’s first dance. Matt and his mother had a sweet first dance and Elise and her father shared an upbeat dance… that still made me cry!! I just love father-daughter wedding dances. The after party was a fun game of “Name that Artist” where the group listens to random songs and the one who names the singer/band gets a point… the group was having a good old time playing the game and then singing along with Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”… most of the group ended up in the pool at the end of the night. It was so much fun and we are so happy that Elise and Matt have so many stories from their destination wedding in Mexico!! ~Bethany
