Congratulations to Rachel and Chris, they were married on a beautiful spring day on the North Shore of Lake Superior at Grad Superior Lodge, and Odyssey Resort. Beau captured photography and I (Bethany) captured video throughout the day, starting with the getting ready photos in the lodges. The groom cracked an Australian Bundaberg Ginger Beer with his mates and the bride popped a bottle of Wilson Winery Almond Sparkling Champaign to share with her bridesmaids, they both have great taste because we love those refreshments as well. After a sweet first look we adventured to a still icy Gooseberry Falls. The ceremony was beautiful overlooking Lake Superior and Rachel looked stunning as she walked down the aisle with her beautiful veil that had been worn by her mother on her wedding day. They said "I Do" and the reception commenced! At Grand Superior Lodge the guests enjoy a beautiful destination and top notch service, great beverages and appetizers, and the dinner is always delicious. The staff at GSL is always wonderful to work with as with all the Odyssey Resorts on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Rachel's dad shared a story about why the North Shore is special to Rachel and her family and you can enjoy that story at the end of the video. Chris's twin brother gave a heartfelt speech and Rachel's sister gave a fine speech as well. One of Rachel's bridesmaids flew all the way to Minnesota from Norway to be at the wedding. The bride lived in Japan for a few years and I love that they implemented their love of Japanese culture with cherry blossoms, sparkling sake, and little hidden Totoro figures on each table... they also served mini donuts for dessert a nod to one of their first dates at the Minnesota State Fair. They danced the night away and a wedding at GSL always has a bonfire outside with s'more's too! After dancing to Jaja Dingdong from Eurovision, we hugged the newlyweds goodbye and we so enjoyed this special day we got to spend with them on the North Shore. ~Bethany
