Scarlett & Seth were married 12.1.12 in Houma Louisiana. It was an honor to be a part of their day and to capture their wedding moments through photography.  It was a totally different experience to be acutely aware of how Scarlett's parents were reacting to the wedding emotions.  Scarlett's parents Kirk and Tammy are great friends of ours. Kirk Voclain is an amazing Senior Photographer down South in Louisiana.  We love his work!  It was emotional to observe Kirk and Tammy and their daughter throughout the day, they are such a close family... and their little girl was getting married, leaving her home... We couldn't help but imagine our Bijou getting married someday.  The entire group of family and friends were awesome! This  wedding was perfect for the happy bride and groom.  The reception was the best in Southern hospitality, fabulous cajun food served poolside with green beer for the groom.  They had gumbo and lots of traditional Southern food, they even grilled fresh oysters as an appetizer.  The s'mores bar was fun, guests roasted marshmallows at the fireplace.  The details and decorations were well done, everything looked great!  The timeline for the day was a challenge for Beau as a photographer.  The bride and groom wanted to stick to only the ceremony and the house, no additional locations on this sunny day... it was a bit tough for Beau NOT to use the beautiful Louisiana surroundings!!!!  Scarlett got ready at her house in her pink room, it was  the perfect spot, she is gorgeous!  Seth got ready with his hilarious buddies at his house behind Kirk's studio.  Scarlett and Seth saw each-other for the first time as Scarlett walked down the aisle with her dad.  It was a very sweet moment.  The expressions throughout the wedding were great too.  Everyone went to the reception at the Voclain house 1 mile away right after the ceremony.  Everyone enjoyed the celebration and Beau waited for the golden hour to photograph the family and group photos.  Beau had about 20 minutes to photograph the group shots and the newlyweds by themselves.  The sky was perfect as it went from cloudless bright blue to cloudy pink!  Then on to the father daughter dance, these are always so emotional to me, especially when I see my friend Tammy losing it as she watches her daughter and her husband dance their father daughter dance.  The rest of the evening was fun and relaxing for us as guests, we enjoyed taking the photojournalism and visiting with these friends.  Then Kirk decided to shave Beau's Movember mustache, it was the first of December so the stache had to go... it was painful for Beau both physically and emotionally.... I laughed my head off!  Friends got cozy by the fire for the end of the night, then we all sent off the Bride and Groom with Sparklers... as the newlyweds left, everyone gathered by their car and gave them hugs goodbye... one last big hug for Scarlett from mom and dad.  We are so happy for Seth and Scarlett!  ~Bethany
