It was an incredible joy to photograph this loving couple on the island of happy days! Sarah and Sean planned a Monday Destination Wedding in August at the vintage Wisconsin Resort… Stout Island Lodge. We live One hour from this lovely island and we had never heard of this secret gem before Sarah and Sean told us about their wedding plans. Can you believe that this island exists on a big beautiful lake in Wisconsin??? We would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding celebration. Just imagine boating to this splendid island lodge and spending a relaxing day exploring the cutest vintage cottages and strolling the private grounds and perhaps playing a few yard games… you would enjoy a beautiful meal at the lodge and end the night looking at the stars and listening to folk music in a wooden adirondack chair by the large bon fire…. then retreat to your cabin with a glistening moonlit lake view for a wonderful nights rest… You will wake up to the sounds of nature and a panoramic view of Red Cedar Lake, if you book the same room we did.. the “Clara 3" upper Level Room was incredible with it’s vintage cabin decor and a large bathroom and a wood stove. We enyed a leisurely stroll to the lodge to enjoy our delicious complimentary breakfast with many healthy options. We took our coffee to go and walked down to a lakeside deck to enjoy the peaceful morning before meeting up with Sarah and Sean on their wedding day!

The day was so chill and this lovely couple were so content and they truly enjoyed every moment. Sarah prepared for the day in her honeymoon suite, a beautifully appointed room “Shore Lodge 3” check out the link below to the Stout island Website and you too can book a room for a night or even plan your wedding here too!

Sarah and Sean had their first look in the special garden where they would say their vows a few hours later. Beau had fun with the wedding party in the game room over the boathouse and he photographed the family in the main lawn in front of the main lodge.  Soon it was time to tie the knot!  Sarah was wearing her mothers vintage wedding dress and she looks stunning!  Sean looked on lovingly as she walked with her father to the big willow tree in the garden. They were married by their friend who was a eloquent bearded gentlemen. After a shot of tequila, symbolizing the way they met, they said “I do” and sealed the deal with a kiss!

The party followed in the terrace for cocktails and then to the private event room… the dinner served was flavorful and delicious. Sarah and Sean cut their fox cake and danced the Rumba for their first dance as a married couple. Beau followed them along the lake path in a golf cart to some gorgeous settings for photography. You can’t go wrong with this Secret Wisconsin Gem of a wedding venue. The dancing continued and then the evening ended where it should, under the shooting stars, by a warm fire.

We love Sarah and Sean, we thank you for having us as a part of your wedding.  ~Bethany
